An exciting new opportunity is coming to the Imperial Valley 性视界传媒 the Small Business Expo. The Imperial Valley will be the fourth location of the Expo series. The organizers for the Expo plan to host this series four times a year with new events planned for the spring, summer, and fall.
The Small Business Expo series started in 2023 in Chula Vista, later expanding to Mission Valley, and then North County. It began with the expressed goal of providing in-person resources and networking opportunities to business owners in wake of the pandemic. The Small Business Expo has received positive reception from business owners and community partners which has encouraged its organizers to expand this series to the Imperial Valley.
There has been significant demand for these services in the Imperial Valley, which this series aims to address. Three agencies will be involved in organizing the Small Business Expo 性视界传媒 the San Diego, Orange, and Imperial APEX Accelerator, the San Diego and Imperial Small Business Development Center, and the San Diego and Imperial Women性视界传媒檚 Business Development Center.
The expected turnout for the Expo is usually around 300-400 attendees. The Small Business Expo has had an immensely positive impact on both small businesses and their surrounding communities. It has benefitted small businesses by providing business owners opportunities to form connections with local buyers from government agencies to private sector firms.
By supporting small businesses, new jobs can be created helping people develop their skill set which raises the quality of life for their communities.
The Small Business Expo will provide business owners with valuable insights in many different areas; leadership, sales strategies, and marketing techniques. This event will also include panels, discussing methods small businesses can utilize to obtain contract work with a variety of government agencies and private sector agencies.
The SBDC, WBC, and APEX will equip attendees with information on the lending and contracting process. Featured topics in the Imperial Valley Small Business Expo will include the following:
鈼 Support and Lending: Attendees will get to connect with small business resource centers and specialized lenders. This portion of the business expo will feature speakers from the Women性视界传媒檚 Business Center, the Small Business Development Center, SBA, APEX Accelerator and more.
鈼 Procurement: Attendees will be given information on government contracting opportunities. This portion of the business expo will also feature guest speakers from the Small Business Development Center, the Women性视界传媒檚 Business Center, and the APEX Accelerator.
鈼 Networking: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from different government agencies, local lenders, resource centers, and establish connections with business entities.
Additionally attendees will also have the opportunity to network with fellow business owners.
Rounding off the Small Business Expo, there will be a resource fair; where attendees in previous business expos have been able to meet with advising teams and secure funding. Resource fairs are an excellent source of support or small businesses because they provide opportunities for business owners; to ask important questions, learn about tools they can utilize to ensure business success, and network with others.
Join us for this historic event, as the Small Business Expo makes its debut to the Imperial Valley. This event will be held on Thursday, November 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Martin L. King Jr. Sports Pavilion at 770 Park Avenue in El Centro.
This is a free event, and light refreshments will be made available to attendees.
